Dynatest develops advanced measurement equipment for roads, bike paths, and construction projects. Zoom Film produced five product videos that explain the Bike Lane Measurement, Heavy Weight Deflectometer, Light Weight Deflectometer, FastFWD, and Multi Functional Vehicle through real-world work scenarios.
The films share a cohesive visual universe and combine live-action footage, drone shots, and 3D animation. This allows viewers to both see the products in use and understand the measurements and processes that are otherwise difficult to visualize.
Five product videos—one cohesive visual universe
The five films were developed with the same cinematic style, but each tells its own product story. This makes the series recognizable while also catering to different target audiences and uses.
Bike Lane Measurement – data from the bike lane. In Copenhagen, the film follows Dynatest’s solution for measuring the surface and condition of bike paths. City life and authentic footage create a sense of familiarity, while 3D graphics illustrate how the system records and processes measurement data.
HWD – Making Road Bearing Capacity Visible. The Heavy Weight Deflectometer is used on major roads, where load, sensors, and measurement results are key. Drone footage captures the work site, and a 3D animation shows how the equipment examines the pavement’s response and structural condition.
LWD – mobile measurement directly in the field. The Light Weight Deflectometer is the portable solution in the series. The video highlights its ease of use, flexibility, and the precise measurements that can be taken directly on-site. Close-ups and graphics make the workflow easy to understand.
FastFWD – Faster Structural Road Testing. The Fixed Falling Weight Deflectometer assesses the structural condition of the pavement without damaging the road. The video demonstrates how impact loading and measurement of road deflection can be performed at high test speeds and translated into a clear basis for decision-making.
MFV – multiple road data points in a single measurement. The Multi-Functional Vehicle integrates various measurement technologies into a single vehicle for surveys of roads and airports. The video illustrates how cameras, lasers, and positioning data are recorded synchronously, allowing multiple types of data to be analyzed collectively.
Taken as a whole, the video series showcases both the breadth of Dynatest’s product portfolio and its core value: translating complex measurements into a better basis for decision-making regarding infrastructure maintenance and development.
Dynamic interaction between 3D and moving images
To ensure an intuitive communication of Dynatest’s technology, we integrated advanced 3D elements that visualize data, features and benefits in a clear and elegant way. At Zoom Film, we master the interplay between film and animation – and in this case, we used our expertise to create a seamless experience where graphics and real footage merge.
Our footage was shot in carefully selected locations that not only support the narrative, but also add a visual quality that differentiates the films from traditional product communication. Nyhavn and other iconic locations were used as a backdrop for the moving images, while 3D graphics make it possible to dive into the technical details.
