The collaboration between Ballebro Færgekro and Zoom Film

When Ballebro Færgekro wanted to strengthen their brand and attract new guests, it was important for them to find a partner who could understand and convey their unique identity. Working with us was a creative process where both parties contributed to developing a film that captured the soul of the ferry inn. From the first meeting, the focus was on creating a narrative that united the ferry inn’s gastronomic experiences and scenic surroundings.

Storyboard and Visual Storytelling

The film’s narrative was carefully planned with a storyboard that created a clear framework for the filming. The film starts with impressive drone footage of Alssund and the ferry inn, elegantly presenting the idyllic location. It then zooms in on the details – the beautifully presented food, the steam from the freshly prepared dishes and the chef’s precise work in the kitchen. The ending brings all the elements together in a warm scene where guests enjoy both the food and the view in the atmospheric setting of the inn.

Production and Challenges

During production, we used a variety of techniques to ensure a visually stunning result. Drone footage was used to highlight the surrounding scenic surroundings, while close-ups and slow motion were used to bring out the details of the food. The challenges of changing light and weather conditions required precise timing and flexibility from the team. One example was the sunset shots over the fjord, which could only be realized through careful planning and quick reaction when conditions were perfect. The collaboration between Ballebro Færgekro and us ensured that even these challenges turned into beautiful and evocative scenes in the finished film.

Throughout the project, the wishes and visions of the ferry inn were highly valued, and the result was a profile film that not only highlights the place, but also tells a story that inspires and invites you to visit.
